It's National Chocolate Cake Day!

Since today is National Chocolate Cake Day, I thought I'd share my grandmother's chocolate cake recipe.

Nana's Chocolate Cake
4 sticks salted butter
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups cake flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Grease & lightly flour your cake pan. I prefer using a tube pan.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt & cocoa together. Set aside.
Cream butter & sugar in mixer
Add eggs one at a time, alternating it with the flour mixture
Add milk and vanilla
Pour cake mix into pan
Bake for 80 minutes
